Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia; there are other disordes or diseases which cause dementia but which are not Alzheimer’s.
There are no approved medical treatments for Alzheimer’s AFAIK, but some acetylcholinesterase inhibitors have been attempted to keep enough Acetylcholine in the brain synapse regions. Also there is a new supplement coming out from Ovos called VIVIMIND which may have some benefits.
Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, ginkgo biloba, Pregnolone, and phosphatidylserine supplements may also help.
