I’ve heard of 52-year-olds getting it. Also and in full disclosure, I support Stem Cell but not Embroynic Stem Cell Research.

MDA Telethon:Why not start a Telethon for Alzheimer’s/ Dementia too?
MDA Telethon is great and I just made a pledge to the MDA Telethon.
I think what if someone started a Telethon for Alzheimer’s/ Dementia ?
How would someone start a Telethon for Alzheimer’s/ Dementia if they wanted to?

can you actually get Alzeimer’s disease at 56?that’s sad.:(
my mother is actually diagnosed with PCA- posterior cortical atrophy, a rare form of Alzeimer’s. Does anyone know about it? Well, its basically Alzeimer’s but it affects more the visual perception. It’s tough very tough, she is 56 years old and it started 5 years ago for her. She had problems at her job but we never knew it could have been that. Thank for those who write caring comments. This hits me at heart. I wish all the best who is going through this. I feel connected with all of you
my grandpa died from it in march of 2006 T-T
it was pretty bad, he couldnt hardly remember my name, or even his daughters name, he only remembered my grandma’s name, he had trouble communicating, and he mistook some people for different people, like a nurse that he mistook for his daughter. so i would say it was pretty bad, these people dont seem to have it very badly, and i dont like that, they need to portray they full effect of Alzheimer’s disease.
This video actually portrays the disease in the mildest way possible. All the people that are shown are sill quite articulate, high functioning and clearly in the mildest stages. As sad as this video is the reality is far worse for most people who suffer from this condition.
I wasn’t joking around at all! Now I know what it is and it’s pretty sad.
I was just curious when I first watched this.
do you how serious this disease is? it’s nothing to joke about, and i would not wish it on ANYONE, not even people like you who joke around about it.
nah my grandmother died from it, after about 8 years
Sorry, why don’t know what I was thinking… I didn’t actually mean ge GIVES PEOPLE them… I meant he allows them to happen. I forgot to say that, sorry.
my grandmother had alzheimers and she died when i was 10 years old
i just want somene to find a cure even though its too late for her
i dont want someone to go through what i did when she was still here
i miss you grandma?
Alzheimer’s disease which occurs with age is not life threating however it causes memory loss, personality disorders, dementia, and disorganization and cane only be diagnosed after death (through autopsy).
There is a cure. Google “marijuana and alzheimer’s.”
theres no cure yet but you can prevent it by living healthier while young!!!
6 to 8 years? really? i think 20 years
I really feel sorry for anyone with this disease. I hope yous find a cure soon.
