How to make presentation on Alzheimer’s exciting?
I have to do an oral presentation on Alzheimer’s and we get points for it being “enjoyable”. I’m just not so sure how to make this terminal illness enjoyable and exciting. Any clever ideas?
It would be hard for me to “make fun of it” since my Grandmother is dying from this disease.
Thanks for trying.

are there even any success stories to write about?
Bring in an alzheimer’s victim and ask then their name.. then talk about something else.. then 10 seconds later ask them their name.. and repeat. Fun for everyone involved. lol
You can tell your teacher that you forgot to do it.
(Get it? Alzheimer’s makes you forget things.)
Then say, “ok, I’ll just have to wing it.” Then give the presentation.
In the middle of it just stop and sit in your seat. When everyone stares at you act like you have no clue what’s going on. Then say you forgot what you were doing. It’ll be an example of what Alzheimer’s you can do…..but then again..making it enjoyable is like making fun of it…..good luck with that my friend!
take an old person with alzheimer’s from the nursing home and use him or her in your presentation
“Exciting” is not what you want in a presentation over a debilitating brain disorder that destroys lives.
If you discuss stem cell research, however, you might excite the the audience because of the issues surrounding it.
First you should make it a little funny how they are always forgeting things and then make people think about how sasd it is
You can have SOOOOO much fun with this! If you haven’t met someone with alzheimer’s before, go check out some videos (probably a ton on utube). The stories I have are actually pretty sad but there are definitely funny ones out there. I like the ideas the other people are throwing out there like tell your professor you forgot to research it, or just go sit down in the middle of your presentation and pretend you forgot what you were doing. An experience I had was someone was about to go in for surgery (worked as a nurse) and the woman was searching her room for her purse saying she had to go to the grocery store with her kid! The kid happened to live in a completely different state no less!
