Do people in the initial first stages of Alzheimer’s know?

I know they can do tests now for Alzheimer’s disease. If it is done early enough and the doctor discusses it with the Alzheimer patient can the patient be made aware that they are have it, and may become worse?

yes i think so. in the first stages of the disease, you only forget some things like that you just made yourself a cup of tea a minute ago, so you make another, then you start to forget other things. if you tell them early enough, you should be able to get it through to them. hope that helped!

The only definitive test for Alzheimer’s is after they die. Alzheimer’s is only a speculative diagnosis until they die. There are many dieases that cause the same symptoms of confusion and forgetting. Look into prions as an example. CJD is one of the human dieases caused by them. It’ll scare the crap out of you. As far as telling them they have alzheimer’s, I would say that they will only be aware of it until there mental function declines even further. It’s a sad illness.

I do not know what is this ” Alzheimer” non of my known have suffered from it. So I not a proper person to say any thing on it.
