Can a fall cause death to an elderly person with Alzheimer’s being in the last stage?

I heard of an elderly lady in the news that that fell and broke her hip then she got a heart attack and died? Can that happen to a person on the last stages of Alzheimer’s if they fall? Can it cause a heart attack?

Any large amount of stress, physical activity or even extreme pain can cause a heart attack in an elderly person. If a senior falls when they are alone, they can panic and that by itself can cause a heart attack in a person whose heart is already weak. A fall most likely won’t cause death by itself though. Alzheimer’s wouldn’t have much do to with the cause of death in such a situation.
